Something I found on my laptop…

…I woke up this morning, and i couldn’t breath. I had a pain inside. It wasn’t quite in my stomach, but it wasn’t quite in my chest. But it hurt. My normal mornings are hard enough as it is to get up, but when you have a shooting pain, it’s that much easier to not move.

I just laid there looking into my closet dreading how I will eventually have to get up and start my day. I don’t have an endless supply of style, but i have my fair share of fashion. I don’t touch most of it though. I wear the same pair of jeans and one of four t-shirts. If its cold, I wear either a sweatshirt or my sweater. Its my favorite sweater, but its had a hole in the collar since the third wear.

I enjoy the simple things in life. The romantic things. Ticket stubs, and cigarettes. And t-shirts older than than the relationship with the girl that’s wearing them to bed. The hundreds of wears and washes and living that went into destroying the silkscreen design in the perfect way that it is.

Memories of smoking blunts with my friends and listening to albums the whole way through. Going to dinner with a girl that will order a meal, not a salad, and finish it. Cups of coffee for the sake of conversation instead of a morning boost. Not shaving every day. Walking the extra mile for sentimentality. Notes on paper, wine glasses, and lip prints on either. Sleeping in on the weekends, staying in for a movie on weeknights…
